Anyone using the RK2? Thinking about getting one for light and pump controls on top of the obvious. I am also thinking of getting a couple of Koralia 4's to run on it. The RK2 claims true soft start with no impellar noise.

I can't comment on the RK2 Scott, but I can say I don't like the Koralia 4's. The prop is TINY compared to Tunze or even more so the Vortech prop. I borrowed a couple of 4's from a friend while I waited for a replacement magnet for my Vortech, and I was less then impressed. They are noisy compared to a Nano Stream, and the flow is rather tight as compared to the Nano streams, and extremely tight compared to a Vortech. (I know they are in a different league.)
Also, the Koralia pumps, though smaller then a full sized Tunze, they are larger then a Nano stream, and take up quite a bit of space in a 4ft tank. The size is not important in a 6ft or larger tank, but for our tanks, they look HUGE.
I would save the cash, and save for either the Nano Streams, or ideally a Vortech. Maybe even the new MP20, which is about $100 less then the MP40....
I have an RK2 Scott. Not using it to its full capacity yet. I also run the 1200gph Hydor, plus my Tunze. I have been thinking about putting the Hydor on the wavemaker channel but have yet to do so.
Mine controls my lights, fan, and temp. controller, plus on all time channels for my skimmer & Tunze. I also use the ph monitor.
I read something on Rc in regards to the Hydor,s and the RK2 but did not pay much attention to it at the time. Perhaps I will go find it again.
