I don't know if anyone else here is using these peristaltic pumps but I ran into a problem. Six months ago bulkreefsupply.com had an entirely different drews doser than they do today. The old ones were perfect for my applications of pumping DI water through the reactor. I was getting a drip about every second and a half. These came in a whitish box with a blue faceplate. They had a Welco WP-1000 Japanese motor.

BulkReef just started using an all black pump. This new one puts out about a drop every 5 seconds. It's a good pump so far but is really only for dosing a 2 part very slowly. They mentioned this on their webpage but the old version said the same thing so I got a few thinking they would work. Surprise it's not the pump I thought it was. I haven't taken any apart to see what is inside of it but I'm not very happy with it.
The motor has burned out in one of my old versions. I emailed Welco in Japan a week ago and have not heard a reply. Bulkreefsupply did send me a replacement but it was their very last one. Thankfully they had it and were willing to send it so I can't be too upset. I just wish I could easily get more of these old versions. They said that Drew can still make them but I would have to order enough to make it worth the trouble as it is very time consuming to make the box....I don't think so looking at it but whatever. I can't find a distributor in the US for this motor but I would love to get another. I think I can make the box fairly easily.
Does anyone have any ideas?
