New to forum, new to game would like some help!

Hello everyone! I am new to the saltwater game, I have 2 setups, 30 hex and a 75 rect. The hex has been up since last feb, the rect has been up since last april. I am working on a 150 right now as my project, probably going to move everything from the 75 into the 150. That leaves me with my hex. What are my options with it? is there anything different (besides reef) that I can do with it? What about keeping a lionfish? attached are some pictures of my setups..I'm new to the game so its not half as great as some of yours..

hex with junky light, I am waiting on the t-5 to come in the mail..

Definately put the pugs in the 150, they need at least a six foot tank...J/K I think for the hex a single dwarf lion or a small porcupine puffer. I'm not a big fan of hex tanks, as they don't give much swimming room horizontally. Most fish are wired to swim horizontally.

lol I am sure the pugs will be thrilled to be in the 150.

My main concern is putting the hex back together. I don't really know what to do with it. I have canister filters for my other tanks. Right now on the hex is an emperor 280 I think i am not sure..you can see it in my pictures idk if it helps. Should i get a different filter? if so, what kind?

Maybe a hob (hang on back) skimmer like a cpr bak-pak or a aqua c remora, the canisters won't do you any good IMO.
