Is there anything a guy can do to fix a short in the cord in a Mag 18. The problem is right where the cord goes into the pump, so I am wondering whether you comprise the pump by taking the top of the pump off???

My gut feeling is trepidation Charlie. I suppose you could take the top off and see, then use an epoxy to fill it if you have too. I would say 2 hour epoxy would waterproof the pump very well.

I think I am gonna call Marine Depot when they open up and see what they might think. I don't think it is a good thing to take the top off, but I am gonna see what they suggest too.
Danner's main site doesn't seem to have a contact number????? They wouldn't be open today anyways. This is no emergency I just use this thing to mix my saltwater for changes.
