PVC Glue - safe or not?

needing to make some connections between the sump and the main tank. is pvc glue safe to use or is there another recommended glue to use to connect pvc for a reef tank

Good question! I hope someone has a definitive answer for you (us). I always assumed once it's cured it is perfectly safe. I have used it a lot and have not had any problems and I'm not good a letting it cure for the recommended time either.

Yes, PVC glue is safe to use to attach PVC fittings. I always use the primer first and then the glue. When setting up my tank, I waited 24 hrs before running water through the plumbing but I once had to make an emergency repair and I restarted the pumps after an hour with no ill effects.
