    Iwaki Pump parts

    Iwaki Magnetic Drive Pumps

I have two Iwaki aquarium pumps. They each have two threaded nuts that house a beveled 1/2 PVC pipe. I've replumbed them a few times and need the new beveled pieces. Can't find any, went to plumbing, pump stores, etc. Does anyone know where I can get some, need four of them.

It doesn't look like a complicated piece of gear, but appears its a manufacturer's part and I can't find any place that offers them.

    Re: Iwaki Pump parts

Does anyone here use Iwaki pumps? I emailed Iwaki USA and they had no idea what I was talking about. I bought my two pumps in Japan, the models aren't offered in the US - perhaps the ones sold here are plumbed differently. Would love to compare notes if anyone uses the Iwaki USA pumps.

    Thanks,
    Tom

    Re: Iwaki Pump parts

I resolved this situation, apparently the US version come with only the threads and you use a PVC union valve to plumb them, whereas in Japan the units are sold with a piece of PVC union pipe. I'm sure my threads are metric so I'm ordering replacement metric PVC union pipes and will get 4 metric/NPC PVC adapters.

    This'll work!
