There are a few posts on other forums, and there's an independant magazine review of the c-Skim which Red Sea has added to its website (as well as a video of the skimmer working). Check out www.redseafish.com

Thanks, I've seen the video - it sold me and I have one on order/enroute. I was impressed with the video; was just looking to get a user's perspective. I've used (still have it sitting in the box) a red sea berlin venturi-type skimmer that was useless, swore I would never buy another. It was rated for up to 250G, but in my 120 it skimmed ZERO, perhaps it was operator error but I could never get it to skim anything. This one looks good though, I'll keep folks posted - even has a self-cleaning mode.

Hey Tom, thanks for choosing a C-Skim. PM me and I can send you some links of reviews and a couple of early posts on the C-Skim from users.
The Berlin was for years considered to be the benchmark for skimming and has long been a favourite. I don't know your set up but something is badly wrong either with the operating method or maybe with the individual Berlin you had, as they most definitely skim when working properly. We recently upgraded the Berlin range because it remains popular but had become a little dated. The new Berlin X2's are available as Venturi or Turbo models and can also be found on www.redseafish.com. However I am sure you will be delighted with the C-Skim as its got some really cool features, not leasr of which is the self cleaning system you mentioned. Happy reefkeeping.
Tom, I havePM'd to your question regarding the air inlet valve.
Steve,
Thanks for your assistance; this skimmer is phenomenal - works GREAT!
