Vertex IN-18, IN-100 skimmer questions

Howdy All,

I'm looking into a filter upgrade and have heard some great reviews on this equipment. Now, I'm a noob so please forgive the (probably) rather ignorant questions:

Regarding these skimmers, can I place either of these under my tank within the wood cabinet stand (without drilling holes in the glass), or do these have to be installed in some type of sump (which I do not have)?

2 words....................Remora Pro. I have had one on my 80 for 6 years. Alot of folks don't like the idea of a Mag 3 pump dangling in there tank, but I couldn't ask for a better skimmer.

The pump is actually in the tank? Is that what you're saying?

Well, I *think* I saw it - you only have a million pics. ;)

If that's what I saw, the pump would be too big and intrusive for my tank shape and size.

Do all off the Remora Skimmers have a large in-tank pump?

I am not sure, but I think yes. sometimes you may have to sacrifice looks for quality. Find a way to hide it!!!!
