The Beast
anyone ever try/or use this skimmer?
The Beast's multi-chamber, multi-pass, venturi design totally "devours" dissolved organics in your tank for sparkling clear water! It's unusually low profile also allows convenient placement under almost any stand, and the output returns directly into your wet/dry's sump. The Beast's massive size tackles up to a hefty 300 gallons, and it runs best with a 500-700 g.p.h. water pump (not included). 51/4" dia. x 23" H. Mfgr: D & D Marine Enterprises Thanks Tony |

Sorry, I am not gonna be any help, I don't skim anymore unless something is really screwed up.
but I didn't want you to think no one was paying attention.

i do skim ,and i think you should get the best skimmer you can afford.i would suggest you look at the aquac ev series, euroreef, precison marine and etss.maybe ask myreef for a quote, hes helping me(with his advice) modify my etss 800 to make it even better(and shorter),and im sure his skimmer will be more than competitive.hth

I haven't heard anything (good or bad) about the "beast" but you can't go wrong with either an etss or aqua c.

What can i say after spending my hard earned wallet on the "BEAST"
Forget it,you`ll get the same results with a plastic tube,a straw, and blowing your own bubbles. |

havent heard anything about the beast. I have the berlin xl with the new turbo pump. so far, i like it. it pulls out a lot of gunk and is really well made. I have also spoken with myreef about his skimmer a while back and he seemed like a really nice guy, so I am sure you cant go wrong with his skimmer also. it seems VERY good (there are some pics on this board somewhere). hth
