Aqua Medic Turboflotor 1000 Multi SL Skimmer Problem

Hi there,

I am currently running this skimmer on a 75 gallon as a hang on. The problem I am having is that I am not getting enough foam to collect in the collection cup. There is foam in the bottom but it never gets high enough to overflow. Not enough air? I have tried shortening and lengthening the air line and nothing seems to change.

I have tried tweaking the flow valves on top with no success. The pump itself is 5 or 6" below the water level. (I shortened this line). In the instruction manual it states that to increase the amount of air and water by:

"removing the grey reduction piece from the suction side of the pump".

Wondering if anyone could show explain to me what this is or if anyone has encountered this prob??

You may want to adjust one of the 2 flow control, They are little gray knobs on the Turboflotor Skimmer. If you want to find more information on the Protein Skimmer visit:
