Co2 Used up

I have had my Korallin 1502 reactor going for about three months now, i am currently running 18-20bpm/ and 100 dpm. In the last week my co2 tank pressure has dropped from about 900 to below 500? Why so fast? There does not appear to be any leaks?
What do you think? Anybody?

i dont have a ca reactor(yet) but i have used co2 for years playing paintball and id say its time to refill ,youre low on gas ,hence the drop in pressure.also temp will affect the pressure but i think youre just low

my 10 lb bottle is going empty as well
it's been a little over 3 months. so this could be a normal thing. i thought it would last at least
6 months.i drip 35 per 60 sec.

yep, it sounds like its time to refill it. I just refilled mine after 3 months

I had this problem 3 months in a row. My 5# tank would deplete very quickly. Couldn't find any leaks until I soaped up the connection between the tank and the regulator assembly. Sure enough there was a small leak. I was told by many that you didn't need teflon tape at this connection because the hard washer in that connection would prevent leaks. After the first leak I refilled the tank and tightened it further, still depleted in a month. After the 2nd leak, the welding shop replaced the nut on the regulator. I had THEM tighten it down. No leak at the shop. Went straight home and hooked it up. One month later the gas depleted. I soaped that connection, sure enough there was a leak. So the next time I used teflon tape. It has been going strong now for almost 4 months.

My lesson was to use teflon tape at that connection. Are you using teflon tape at the tank connection?

Use some soapy water or windex and spray at every connection. I found a small leak doing this. You may not have a leak at all but at least you will know for sure.

My CO2 tank is a week old and according to your posts I may have a leak.

Fired up the reactor last Saturday. Left gauge read 900, right gauge maintains a steady 12lbs no problem there. Today left gauge reads 300, right gauge is fine. Whats the deal with that? I used teflon tape, two layers.

I purchased a used tank. Did I get robbed?

I will try the soap method in the morning.

I use a 50 pound bottle. It's placed outside and piped through the wall . Being outside it's subject to large temp. swing's and that will raise or lower the pressure in the bottle. Pressure in the bottle will increase with an ambient air increase.

You might want to pick up some CO2 Resistant tubing. Regular air tubing can lose up to 35% of the CO2 before it enters the reactor. Silicone and vinyl loose up to 20%. Pet warehouse has it in there catalog or most welding supply houses carry it as well
