    about red sea prizm skimmer

    hey guys.. doea anyone have this kind of skimmer?? and anyone has it on the sump??

    Yes I have it on my 30 gallon reef it works great just one trick place a little bit of filter fiber (cotton ball size ) under the carbon holder and replace it once a week this will stop the micro bubbles
    play with it a little until you get it just right not hard at all , see it on you tube under

    I have had both the prizm and the prizm pro. I wasn't really impressed with the smaller guy. I have a CPR Backpack that works quite a bit better for me than the prizm. It could be comparing apple to oranges though.

    Having an air and water flow adjustment on the prizm pro was a definite upgrade from the smaller prizm. It took me a week or so to dile in the Prizm pro but after I got it up and running it performed pretty well. I've had it up and running for about 1.5 years. At the time these shorter skimmers were the only ones I could fit in my stand.
