Can filter

I have a Fluval 403 in a FO tank and it has stopped working. I took it out and pulled the impeller and cleaned off both the inside and the core , put it back together and it ran roughly , for about 45 seconds then stopped. Any suggestions????buy another?

Could be wrong but it sounds like the impeller is worn. I'd try a new one before I bought a new cannister filter.
