    Need advice on skimmer

Hello, I currently have a 220 salt tank with corals and fish and I have an Eshops skimmer located in my skimmer, which I personally think is a piece of garbage and before I make a new purchase I would love some advice what works the best for some of you. Lisa

Lisa, do you have a budget figure in mind? I am a HUGE fan of the new cone type skimmers from Warner Marine, ATB, Apex and SWC, but they are a bit pricey.

You could also look at the SWC 300 model, that is much cheaper then the cones, and performs very well.

Mike, do you have a link for the SWC 3000? I'm in the market too. Thanks

No problem. While browsing that site, I noticed they have a "A" version as well, it is more money, but that would be a very reliable skimming monster! A single Askoll pump versus 2 Sicce, if I were buying, I would do the Askoll version.

Just a thought. If ONE Askoll goes down, no skimmer period. One Sicce goes down, change settings till the service is complete on the failed unit. One keeps pumpin'. Just a thought.
