My Tank Startup. Some Questions? Pictures Included

Alright, so this is my second saltwater tank. My last tank was bigger. I have a 20Gallon Octagon tank. I set it up about a week ago. I added a pair of clown fish that I love and they seem to love the tank. So heres the few questions I have.....

1. After talking to the LFS, I changed my whisper 20(125GPH) to the whisper 40(210GPH) I had. I also have 2 powerheads, Rio 180 (120GPH) and a 90GPH one that has the carbon/sponge inside it. Is this too much or just right? Also where should I have them placed to be just right? Look at pics....

2. I used 2lbs of live rock and the rest of the rock I will let become live, thats how I did it on my last tank. Is this enough?

3. Thinking about my cleaning crew. Do I need to wait for tank to be fully cycled? Should I just be doing some hermit crabs or Peppermint shrimp? What should I limit myself too on this.

4. Later on I want more of a reef setup. So I will have to change the light out. What should I get and will I need a chiller than?

Oh also, I won't be adding any more fish as I like the true peculara clown pair that I have. There considered large in size.

I dont understand why you put your clowns in before it finished its first cycle ? what happend to your old setup?

I still have the other setup. I decided to not set it up as it is a 40Gallon and I could be moving in a year, I didn't want to move a bigger tank as I have moved them before and its not very fun. I always start my tanks out with a clown fish or two with the live rock. My last setup I did it the same way and the clowns were the first fish in and lived the longest. So I decided to do it the same way as It worked great last time

well, for right now, if you are only looking to have the percs and some cleaners, you should be ok.

The waterflow is fine for your guys.

The filtration will be lacking if you are planning to go into a reef system. I would recommend against it if money for proper equipment will be an issue. But for a FOWLR system, you are alright.

Seeding your main rock with a small amount of live rock is fine, it cuts the costs a lot and there's really no difference in the long run.

I would wait to completely cycle your system and make sure your ph and kh levels become stable as well.

If you do go reef, I would probably get a 150w MH on your system due to the hight of your system. And yes, no mater what kind of reef lighting you end up using on your tank, due to its size you would need a small nano chiller to keep the temp. in check.
