    Aqueon vs. marineland

    Which filter is better....
    the aqueon power filter turning over 325gph or the Marineland HOT magnum that does 250gph????

    more GPH is better! more flow rate always desired.

    have you considered a sump, wet/dry filter type? those might be better in the long run. that'll be my next project. how big is your tank?

    aqueon, not so much because of the gph, but because the hot magnums are the worst filters in the world when it comes to changing out filtration media and pads. bah i hate them with a passion.
