Sump/Refugium

Are all under-tank/inside-cabinet sump/refugium systems DIY?

Do you (does anyone) have any helpful instructions on how to set one up? I'd like for my system to be as clean as possible. Just a system that fits underneath, helps with the filtration and nitrates... allows me to store heater and protein skimmer...

To connect the sump to the display, does one just use a powerhead? Do you need 2 powerheads to do this?

Any tips, links, etc will be appreciated. Thanks!
