Hello all,

I am new to the salt water hobby. I bought a 40 gal breeder tank from craigslist and it came with a fluval 404 canister filter and a Eheim 2236 canister filter. It also came with a coralife lighting system which has flourecent and regular lights along with lunar led's. I bought an RO system, heater and live sand.

I am hoping to start a small reef tank. Is this current setup ok or do I need more things?

I added my live sand yesterday and noticed a lof of kind of sudsy debris at the top of my water this morning kind of browninsh??? is this a good thing?

I also am just wondering some tricks of the trade and anything else people would like to share.. All advice and info is welcome!!!!!!

I talked to the LFS and they told to wait a week to buy my LR...any suggestions on LR?

I am very excited to get my tank up and going. I hear alot of good things about the hobby.
