Instant Ocean Salt Mix - No waiting?

According to what one rep at a local specialty aquarium store told me, you can add Instant ocean salt to your RO water and it's ready to go in the tank as soon as the temp matches your tank (assuming you've added enough mix to achieve your desired SG).

He said you don't have to wait 24hrs. I confirmed that on the Drs. Foster Smith site but it's contrary to what I've heard many times.

What do you guys suggest or practice? I'm still learning what I'm doing so I'm not sure and thought I'd ask.

    Thanks in advance!

I mix my salt with ro/di by using a small powerhead in my mixing tank usally for about 6 to 7 hours.

I do the 24 hour thing, always have, unless it is a REAL emergency.

I mix mine 32 gallons at a time and let it mix with power head for 7 days or more at a time. I use 10 gallons a week and then top off again and remix
