Protein Skimmer recomendations

I'm looking for a good reliable & easy to use/maintain skimmer that doesn't
require much adjusting when water levels in my sump change.

Can you suggest a good brand & model for a fish only 125 gallon tank?
I'd like to do corals at some point.

What brands & types (i.e. Venturi, etc) are good reliable models in the $200-300 range? Which brands/types do i avoid?
I'll even try to keep an eye out for a good deal on a used on ebay!

I run a extreme octopus 160 with my 125 gal. works great for me.
