Hello,
My fiance and I are new to this hobby, this forum and fish keeping in general. We have a 2 month young, 46 Gallon Bowfront and I am already dreaming of upgrading to maybe a 125 or 150 gallon tank with a sump once we move into our new house. Before taking that leap I have been doing tons of research and am trying to design a sump/refugium.
I found the CPR Marine Tower Filter and was wondering if anyone has any experience with this. I am most concerned with the effectiveness of the skimmer. DrsFosterSmith has a sale on it now so I might set up a small sump for our current set up since we don't have a skimmer and only have a HOB filter.
I guess I should also mention that I cannot drill the current tank so I was thinking about modifying the HOB filter to drain to the CPR Marine Tower. Also, what do you recommend for a return pump keeping in mind the sooner or later tank upgrade.
Any input would be helpful. Thanks in advance
