Protein skimmer to a canister filter?

Hello everybody!
I have Fluval canister filter.
Just bought protein skimmer.
Question - can I attach protein skimmer to the outflow pipe from the canister filter using power head?

I wouldn't recommend it,if the powerhead has a higher GPH than the Fluval you could damage the powerhead.If the Fluval is higher then you might possibly damage it or slow its filtering capability.

I agree... I would also recommend getting rid of the can altogether if you plan on keeping a reef. That or remove all the media from it and use it just for water flow.

You could keep the canister filter for charcoal or occasional phosphate removal if need be. But my understanding of pumps, is that you should never have two directly in series, you'll either starve one, or backflow the other.
