I have 2 overflows, with Durso mod. standpipes. I have adjusted the air valves, every which way, one of the overflows (one furthest away from the drain) wtr. level is fine about 1" or so below the eggcrate, and no flushing noise, the valve is almost closed, now the one closest to the drain, the wtr. level, goes up and down every 10 min or so. once the level goes down of course it gets a flushing noise. I have tried opening the valve ever so slighlty, almost a hair, and what happens it the level goes way up on both overflows. I have tried a number of different combinations with both valves, even keeping then the same, to no avail.
What can I do? I am sure I am doing something wrong, but I have yet to figure it out. Any input will be hightly appreciated.

Hey there Susie!
I have info. at home about correcting a flushing problem in the Durso standpipe. I'll forward it to ya. It might help. I think that someone will also come along and possibly be able to shed some light on this subject. HTH ![]() Joanne

Do these 2 overflows come together before entering the sump or are they on thier own sperate line in to the sump. If they are T'ed together underneath before entering the sump I could see where it could be a problem setting it right.
Also these stand pipes are in seperate over flows right. |

Hi Joanne: Thx. I will be awaiting the info.
Tendar: There are 2 standpipes, one in each overflow. They are also seperately draining into the sump.

well you could do what i did with mine.they flow everything they can without the noise. i just drilled a bunch of holes for air line tubing. i probably have 8 4 inch air lines stuck into my cap.. then just find a bunch of those mufflers for skimmers or powerheads then youve got a high flow quite overflow.
