    Magnetic actylic scraper?

Has anyone seen or had any luck modifying any of the magnetic scraper attachments? I have an account that someone else set up that is a nightmare. Two systems together totalling 400 gallons ( one is rectangular and one is a corner tank that is acrylic that has zero acess as far as cleaning goes! I have a dual chamber calcium reactor and of course the acrylic gets alot of coraline. Aside from dropping the water about 2" from the sand, protecting everything by covering with plastic and then spraying front with muratic mix I can't get this stuff off. Thanks

Try a credit card or another piece of acrylic. The edges of the card or acrylic will get dull as you scrape so keep using the new sides as you go along.

I can't access the front! I have a tunze magnet that I use on the 300 gallon glass tank with a razor blade attached to it. I have tried to make blades out of credit cards to fit instead of the metal razor but they just don't get it done. Has anyone seen any acrylic blade attachments for magnets that are worth a hoot.

I've never seen a magnetic scraper that will remove coraline completely on its own. The mag-flip uses a plastic blade on one side but I doubt it will do much on the coraline.

The easy blade attachment with the razor completely removes thick coraline from GLASS tanks. I cant believe after all these years and advancements no one has come up with a scraper attachment for magnets to be used on large acrylic aquariums! The mag flip didn't even think about getting it off. Yet another toy in the trash.

LOL... Beleive it! Could be a good opportunity though if one of us can come up with a viable design.

Anyway, if you haven't tried the "magnavore" (I have not btw) it's supposed to have the strongest magnets and some pretty good pads, though no scraper attachment that I can see. May be worth a shot?
