mag 7 pump

Well I removed my sponge today on my mag 7 to allow pods to travel throughout my system and I noticed that I had the mag with the metal screws. I also noticed they have started to rust Do I have to buy the marine pump or is there anywhere I can get plastic screws for the one I have?

thanks
Andrew

Just cheap stainless steel, a little iron is not bad for the/your system.

Unless the screws are really dissolving and its more than just a little rust I wouldn't worry.

If you want you can take the pump out dry it off and add aquarium silicone to the screws. Just cover them with silicone and voila problem solved. Just wait the appropiate time for the silicone to cure. HTH
