    Question Specific gravity & Salinity

    Hello,

I am a newb to the hobby. I have recently set up a FOWLR system and so far everything is good and my tank has cycled. I own a hydrometer. Does this test both SG and Salinity?

    Re: Specific gravity & Salinity

What kind is the hydrometer?? I'm 99.99% sure they all do but, all the arm hydrometers like an instant ocean have the salinty on the outside of the sg. The glass floaters the salinty is on the other side. And the refractors the salinty is on the right side atleast the ones I've used. There maybe an odd duck that doesn't though. salinty is measured 0 - 100 and SG 1.000 - 1.070.
