New to Saltwater Aquarium

Hello everyone. I have really enjoyed this site and it contains a lot of information. I purchased a 20 gallon starter kit from a local pet store. I currently have 4 medium sized live rock (approximately 30 pounds), 3 fish, 6 hermit crabs, and 3 snails in the tank. I upgraded my filter from the starter kit to a Marineland 200 Bio Wheel filter. My questions are what else will I need to purchase/replace for the tank, and I have been told that I do not need a protein skimmer at this time and I wanted some input on that. My future plans including adding additional fish to this tank and upgrading to a larger tank with coral as well. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know.

It has been set up for 3 weeks.

Look into getting a skimmer, AquaC makes a nice nano skimmer, just google it, and you can see all the details, I would get a skimmer on there before adding anymore life to the tank.
