Heater placement?

Would it be o.k. to place the heater in the over flow area out of sight or is this too close to the return and overflow tubes? My heater is too big to place in the sump out of sight.

should not be a issue, but the heater needs to be submerged....if your overflow box is full of water all the time, go fo it.....but you need to make sure that if your pumps fail, that the water in the overflow box will not drain into the sump, leaving the heater dry, where it will either burn up, damage your tank, or burn down your hose.
