Red Sea Wavemaster Owners Help!!
Okay, so I just got one of these units used without destructions. It is pretty self explanatory in operation. Is there any particulars that I should know? I have heard that in the feeding mode that pump 2 stays on. Are there any other programming items like this that I should know?
next problem I ran into is a burnt fuse. My Dolphin 3600 burns out the 250v 8a that was in it and also the 125v 4a that I replaced it with. It will run a quiet one pump on the 125v 4a fuse, so it does work. What is the fuse supposed to be inside the unit??? I would be a bit bummed if I couldn't run the return pump through this wavemaker, but maybe it just draws too much current. Is the random wave action improved by using all four outlets? I was planning on running 5 maxijet 900 on it, with 2 doubled up on 1&2 and the 5th on 3. Your help is appreciated. thanks, ![]() |

The microprocessor is rated @ 720 watts total. You could run six pumps on one outlet and two on another as long as you dont exceed the total wattage @ 120 volts on your pumps. I am using six eheim 1060s on mine and I have not come close to maxing out the load. As far as your dolphin poping fuses, you should address that so you dont come home to a house on fire one day.HTH

Here is the info I got from another reefer. The main pump can support 360w. I figure that the 3600 can pull 4a at the worst which is about 460w. This is one time when an ampmaster would come in handy.
Basically here is how it works
So at it's start up the Dolphin is pulling too much current and causing the wavemaster to blow the safety fuse. Does anyone know what this fuse should be?? |
