protein skimmer????

I ordered a protein skimmer but it wont arrive at my home for about a week..Can i put fish in my tank in the meantime? Then when i get the skimmer just pop it on.

The skimmer is not the main concern.

How long has your tank been running? What is in it? What are your test results for ammonia, nitrites, PH, etc.? What other equipment do you have?

If it is a new tank, putting fish in it before 6-8 weeks can be somewhat cruel.

Make sure you have a long term plan for stocking. Adding the wrong fish now can limit your choices and success later.

Its been running for about four days.. basic set up with a regular filter, live sand, fake coral..it already has bacteria because i put bacteria drops..and all the test came out perfect.
