K-1 for over a year. Still running. Thanks for reminding me to take it out to clean it.
I've had the evolution 750 and 1050 for six months now but I've had issues with them running backwards when turned off and back on. I heard there was an updated oring so I shot koralia an email but haven't heard from them in a few weeks. I may have to make a call or two to get it all sorted out.

I've had my 1050 for 6 mos as well, and mine does the same thing. Kind of a PITA, because unless it's recently been cleaned, it's like backwashing a pool filter...all the crap that was stuck inside comes shooting out the back, clouding up the tank.
FoMoCo Master Tech, can you let me know what you find out?
I know the feeling. I used to shut the power heads down to feed but I don't want to deal with it on start up so I feed with the pumps running.
I did a lot of research and found that there's an updated o ring. Supposedly, the manufacturer was shipping them out for free as long as you emailed them your address. I think I found an email link that people were using. I emailed them off of the "contact us" link but got no response. I'll search for that link again tonight and see if I get a reply. If I do, I'll post it here for others.
P.S. For every one time that my 1050 acts up, my 750 acts up at least 15 times. Almost every time I turn it off, it reverses on start up. Sometimes it won't even start up at all. When that happens, I have to remove the propeller and reseat the o ring. What a hassle!![]()

Ok... After some research, I found out I clicked on a bogus link to contact Hydor which explains the lack of response. Here's what I know... The Evolution circulation pumps have not been out for more than 2 years. The manufacturer's warranty period is 2 years (should make for easy proof of eligibility). I visited Hydor's website and read through the FAQ.
HYDOR componenti per acquari Hydor is offering a replacement bushing to resolve the concern of running back wards (assuming the pump has been cleaned and the rubber bumper is not missing on the cover). I've contacted Hydor and included my address and phone # to expedite the process if possible. I still have the original boxes if they request the UPC bar code but I've read that others did not need to go so far. Hopefully I will hear from them soon.
Chasman: I'm not sure what issues you are having but you should contact hydor and see if you can get it resolved. There were a few concerns involving the nano on the FAQ so you might be in luck.
IMO if the manufacturer has a 2 year warranty on their products, I would expect them to last much longer. With all the advances in technology in the recent years, just about everything lasts a lot longer ( even Fords). Hope this helps.

Thanks very much FoMoCo MT. Hopefully they won't ask for the UPC, I'm pretty sure I tossed the box.
I got an email from Hydor saying they shipped the replacement bushings. I didn't need to provide proof of purchase so all it took was the initial email. Just be sure to include your address and phone # in case they need to contact you

The replacement bushings/ plates came in today. They are easy to install. After replacement, I cycled the pumps on and off at least 20 times. They never ran back wards so it looks like the problem is solved. Here's a picture of the bushing assemblies.
