Powerhead Placement

I have a 29 gallon tank (18 in x 12 in) with about 40 lbs of live rock cascading from the top left to the bottom right (basically like this, but not nearly as precipitous: \ ) .I have 2 powerheads - one Maxi Jet 1200 (295 GPH) and one Koralia Nano (425 GPH) I recently added a colt coral, daisy polyps and gsps and placed them in the middle section of the rock display.

My two questions are:

1-Is this enough flow? There seem like there are dead spots.
2-What is the best placement (from experience) in a tank of this size
