RO/DI & Filtered Water

Hey fellow aquarists! I have a rimless reef aquarium and it evaporates, a LOT. Well, I use reverse osmosis SALTwater from my LFS. But, when I add normal water to the tank to fill up the gaps from evaporation, I use filtered water from the sink. I have a water filterer next to the sink, that.. filters the tap water. Will adding filter water to the tank affect the reverse osmosis saltwater from my LFS? Should I be adding reverse osmosis freshwater? Please tell me the filter water was ok.

Do you have a TDS meter? That is basically the best sure-fire way to tell if that filtered water is good (ie. not high in TDS). As for it affecting the tank, I suppose you'll know if you see algae blooms or the like. Why not just get some jugs of distilled water for top offs to play it safe.
