power Head vs. Circulation pump

Whats the difference between A powerhead and A circulation Pump? I have a 30 gallon FOWLR tank and I know I need water circulation and I wanted to know what would be the best way to do this for my tank? I've done some research but im still not sure what would be best for me. Thanks

powerheads are generally smaller and can be used inside the tank, which i believe is what you need. circulation pumps are generally larger and designed for ponds and sumps. where it gets confusing is powerheads are sometimes used as circulation pumps in smaller tanks or to work filters and such. if you are wanting just to move water inside your tank, you want a powerhead, not a circulation pump.

Generally intank pumps, very energy efficient

Return or Closed Loop water pump:
Little Giant 'Quarium Series Magnetic Drive Pumps
Generally not water submersible, consume huge amount of energy. Need to be plumbed using PVC.
