Issue with brand new Nano Cube..

OK Hi everyone, new to the forums here, very excited to get started with my new hobby. Of course, I have some of the very worst luck when it comes to this stuff and it appears my brand new tank is not so brand new. My father and I went out to one of the LFS in the area and bought a JBJ Nano 28g CF a few days ago and I waited till yesterday to open it up. So right out of the plastic wrap this things glass is incredibly dirty with water stains around every inch of glass and a nice layer of dust. Now I got a very good deal on this, which leads me to believe that I may not have really got a good deal at all, and maybe all I have here is someone else's reconditioned tank that they didn't want or maybe a lfs display. Maybe I am being a little to critical on what I got, but man its like buying a new laptop and finding fingerprints all over it. Is there any chance that the manufacturer fills these with water and check for leaks before they ship them out? has anyone here ever got one of these and the glass been spotless? I guess this goes for the biocube as well since they are a lot alike. I just want to get started guys, maybe im over reacting but it really was a buzz kill to find this thing so freakin dirty when I'm expecting something immaculate..

Thanks everyone, Hopefully someone can shed some light on this. I just want to get started setting this up. A aquarium log will be up and coming folks, Just a little speed bump.

Sounds like previously used item. Clean it up with veneagar and water. Fill it up to see if it holds water, if it does. WOOT, you got a good deal. fill it up and go for broke.

Thanks for the reply Reefing Madness. Just got back from the store, Unfortunately I now no longer have an aquarium but that is only temporary. As soon as the guy who sold me the tank looked at it he understood why I was there. He offered another to which I said of course, as long as I can look at it. We went back in the stock room and pulled another one out and as I assumed, filthy. I promptly asked for a refund and after he asked me if I was sure I didn't want to try and clean it up , I got my money back. The store has this particular cube on sale for 199.00 msrp 329.00. I guess if something is too good to be true it usually is. Anyone interested in these all I can say is be on the look out for this issue and don't be afraid to get your money back. Ill be picking up a Biocube within the week. Hopefully it goes a little better lol
