Need help with sand/DSB

Alas... no Southdown sand in Dallas. Lowes and HD don't carry it. I did find some sand that is used for swimming pool filters. It's a fine grain and consistant with no pea gravle in it. Do ya'll think that this will work for my DSB??

Hi Water World!

There are several "recipes" that make effective DSB's, other than Southdown, that you should be able to get locally. Here is a link to SPASSE web page that will help.

Best of luck,
