Experience with AquaController?
Just wondering if many people have tried or heard about the AquaController by Neptune Systems. It looks very interesting.
http://www.neptunesys.com/products.shtml With the ability to control everything by my computer, i'm tempted to go for it, but would like some reviews. |

It will be a great addition to your reef experience. I've been using it for about 8 months now. It saves me lots of valuable time on various things that you do with your tank on a regular bases, plus tracking logs. This gives you more time to enjoy looking at your tank
. Go for it. |

Here's a review: http://bobsreefermadness.homestead.c...quipment1.html
Here's somebody else who uses one: http://www.homestead.com/spasse/ (I think he likes it now that he figured out what filters he had to install because of his Blueline e-ballasts that emit tons of interference.) Ninong ![]()

Hi Chris,
I have been using the Aquacontroller for a few years and like it a lot. I don't use the computer software so I can't comment on that. I us it to control the lights (3 mh and 2 vho), heaters,7 fans (5 in the hood, 2 in the stand for ventalation), refugium light,2 pumps, etc. It has a temperature probe that allows you to turn on and off chillers and heaters which is really nice. It also has a ph controller but i use it just to monitor. All in all it's a good product IMO. I have had 0 problems with it. Some people have reported problems with the X-10 modules when using electronic ballasts (mostly Blueline ballasts) but I have had no problems with my IceCaps. Bob |

I have the AQ II and after a year it is the best thing that I spent money on. My Calcium Reactor is getting a close second. The AQ II has saved my butt several times by turning my lights off during high temps (chiller unplugged). I could not run my tank without it.

I forgot to add that it has a cool feed mode that lets you shut down the pumps for a set amount of time. How many times have we all forgot to turn the pumps back on?

I use that a lot to feed my tank or to do water changes so that I do not run the sump dry.
