All,

Well after several years the MAG drive pump I used as a return from my wet/dry to my 72Gallon tank seems to have failed.

I am thinking about replacing it with either an Iwaki or Velocity pump. I know the Iwakis are generally considered to be great pumps...my questions are:

1) Anyone had any experience with the Velocity brand pumps (specifically the T3 or T4)?

2) What am I sacrificing by going with the American version of the Iwaki versus Japanese....I know the japanese pumps are supposed to be higher quality but what is it about them that makes them better (parts used, workmanship, etc.)?

3) For a 72G what are the pressure ratings people have had success with in the past....my current MAG pump was the 750gph model with a single injector into the main tank....if I go with a higher gph (how high) will this be better...maybe even enough for a spraybar?

4) cost is a factor...trying to stay under $200...should I consider any other brands?
