Hi organicreefer,

I just set up a Durso for my 90 AGA RR. I used a 1 1/4" pipe and it's pretty quite.

I too just setup Durso standpipes in my AGA 125 and I used 1 1/4" pipe. If you have an AGA tank you won't have the room for the 1 1/2", the overflows are too small. I don't think you will need to step to the bigger size, I have 2 1 1/4" durso's and they are easily handling 2 Iwaki MD-55RLT pumps at about 1800gph total. They look like they could actually handle quite a bit more. With that said I don't see any problem using the 1 1/2".

I have an all-glass 180, And I put a 1 1/2" durso in each overflow, I had to shorten up on the top elbow but it's not difficult. One of my favorite projects on the tank, It made my tank whisper quiet
