Need to find connector for AquaFX RO/DI unit

I bought an AquaFX Barracuda RO/DI unit a couple of months ago and I didn't go to set it up until last week. I then realized that the connector that connects the product water line (the blue hose) to the unit was broken during shipping. I emailed AquaFX but haven't received a response. After reading several posts about the troubles they've been having I don't expect one any time soon.

So my question is, does anyone know where I would be able to find this connector? Is this something that HD would have?

mine too came with a broken connector and i called them at 1-407-599-2123 and they sent me a new one. good luck

If you don't mind me asking, what troubles are they having??? I'm planning on ordering a unit from them within the week and now I'm nervous!! Please respond. Thank you!

Joanne, It looks like the owners of the company had some sort of falling out and a couple of them left and started their own companies. There are several threads on RC and reefs.org that discuss this. When I didn't receive any response to my email I figured that they we a little preoccupied. I have no reason to think that product or the service from AquaFX would be any different than in the past, I just needed the connector fast.

From my post Dave from ReefPure.com, the former CEO of AquaFX offered to send me the connector and he shipped it yesterday.

We had some trouble with the pop e.mail. It has been straightened out. If you have what you need now, good. If you need any other connector type let me know. Always feel free to call us. 407-599-2123, we have a toll-free number on our website, but I do not know it, I am at home now. You can go to www.aquariumwaterfilters.com to find the toll free numbers. There are 3 of them.

How is the unit operating?

Thank you for your help. I figured there must have been a reason I did not receive a response to my email. I just needed the connector fast and I thought that I might be able to get this connector locally so I posted this message.

I should receive the connector today then I will set the unit up. I'm sure that it will work great. I'll let you know if I have any problems.
