Thumbs up www.aquaticreefsystems.com

This is the new company the founding member, Bryan, of AquaFX split from the company and started. He is responsible mostly for the design of the AquaFX units. He seemingly has further improved the unit and is offering awesome deals right now. I ordered a 4 stage RO/DI unit 100 gpd which includes a TDS monitor, flush kit, extra set of filters, and free shipping. You can check out the deals on the website above. But I wanted to say that Bryan so far has given awesome customer service. He emailed me right away and then called me the next day exactly when he said he would. He is the man most people spoke with at AquaFX for service when they called. So that's probably the reason people have had problems getting in touch with them recently. I'll keep you guys posted on the performance of the unit.

Hi Joanne,

Bryan has started a company. As far as Bryan being responsible for my design, that is silly. He has no experience in water treatment before he worked for me (1 Year). I am an engineer and I alone am responsable for the design of the unit he has copied. He can sell cheaply because he works out of the back of a food store. Not bad, just not a real water treatment business.

I just refunded a customer that Bryan had drill their sump. Bad advice from Bryan.. He has copied my system, but I have 20 years experience in water treatment. Be careful, the thrill of a bargin is long forgotten when the heart break of inexperienced workmanship may live on.

If you run into any real problems with water treatment problems you can call us.

Perhaps that is true it is your design. I was impressed with the customer service I received. That really was the main point. And the price was comparable to your product as well. Not cheaper. Just the same. With exception to the added accessories on the unit I purchased. It was an added value. Sorry for any inconsistencies on the origin of the design though. Thank you for the offer!

Joanne,

Did not mean to sound harsh, I put myself through engineering school with a child, while working for the US Geological Survey water resourses dev. So it was hard to hear some one else taking credit for 5 years of exteremly hard work, plus 15 more as an engineer.

I take alot of pride in my work. I designed my systems so reefers could have a hand built (the best fittings, plenty of room on their brackets, and other custom features folks want) system. I do feel that a direct copy should tell you something about the person, either he knows the best when he sees it, or he has no imagination.

I do really enjoy water treatent. If others can not tell you why your pH, phospates or other contaiminents are out of wack, let me know. I can trouble shoot these things in my sleep!

Thank you for your time.

Joanne, glad to see your emails were responded quickly. Mine was the opposite, Bryan was slow to respond to my emails. I eventually got my answers after posting publicly on a board that his company is a sponsor of.

Marianne, I too liked working with water treatment. I did some for about 3 years. I left though because I did not want to be around the sulfuric, hydrochloric acid, and sodium hydroxide every day. The resins, pre and post filtration, recycling of different elements, coagulation, and floccalation are some of what I still miss.

BUT marianne was in comercial and residents she never laid a hand on FX and the truth is my father who was never thank came twice a week to help he and I sat and designed the brackets and Bryan and i took pride in building FX we are fx and she was not yes she is the boss she gets it all and good luck to her. Bryan work hard and stick it out, as I will I LOVE you Both and god Bless you and your children.

The funny part

I believe you two actually believe you designed an RO system, for some reason. Neither one of you had anything to do with water treatment or engineering before in your lives. But somehow, maybe a miracle, believe you came-up with designing a reverse osmosis system.

Everytime you acted without consultation it was a disaster.

I guess you forget going to Ocean Blue LFS when you two decided to change the design and you put the DI before the RO (without talking to me) and how much trouble that caused. You thought that YOUR DESIGN as just grand.

Or how about the time you and the other guy wanted to put inline sediment filter after the Membrane for "balance". An engineering feat? surely not.

Where and how did you know about the John Guest fitting? A luck guess?

Did we work hard....HECK YEAH! But you forgot to mention it was my money was used. Most people realize that too is very important. I was the only one able to make that contribution.

So while I was off designing commercial jobs, trust me, I was making sure you boys did not get to far off track.

The bracket was designed but your Dad. Not you, not Bryan. He is another person whose work is not being credited properly.

Hey, who knows, maybe you two can do some work at NASA and while your there design a new space shuttle.

If you need to take credit for 20 years of my experience have at it. But it is just an ego problem, not a fact.

Marianne Brizio

Also the way you signed the above post is inappropriate, If that was supposed to be biblical, It should referr to GOD not you, Rath Boy

PS: You need to take a basic writing class as well as the general chemistry class you posted you were enrolled in.

Wink Leave it to Joanne to start a war!

Well Marianne
I dont know you from the man in the moon, but I will say I agree with the past 2 post.....It was improper to contradict your employee/past employee or whatever on the "Net" it sounds like you have a grudge! As far as Bryan goes Im sure he was a great employee as I have not been misled once by Joanne! and have the utmost faith in her opinions! Reefpure you are just as guilty....this doesnt do much for you guys/gals images! I say let dead dawgs lay! or dispute it over the phone, either way if you would have stayed out of this post you would have been better off and a much better reputation....Just my .02

Smile Hello Marianne

I spoke to your son today. I told him to tell you hello
This is not the way I wanted to introduce myself to Reef land but I guess I have to speak up.
You taught me everything I know about this business and I owe everything to you. I thank you for giving me the tools to begin a career that I love so much.
You cant understand how hurtfull it is to have my customers call me and tell me that a person I once looked up to so much is dragging my name through the dirt. Ouch!! My personal opinion on this matter is that trying to gain success by tarnishing the reputation of your competition is a terrible way to do business! Those who know me will agree that I have allways gone out of my way to be available on the weekends or even late at night for my friends across the country. I can only ask that you please stop this! You are making us all look bad.
These boards are here for people to share there feelings and opinions about reef keeping. We must maintane a professional stature as businesses catering to the needs of the reef keepers that these boards belong to. This is not a place for us to use as a sales boost!!
If positive things are to be said about a business, they are to be said by the customer. This is where THEY come to share experiences. In all the time That I answered the emails on all the forums I can proudly say that I never SLANDERED a company for my own benefit and can guarantee you that I never will! Success is the American dream. I wish you all the success in the world. But please know people will see through the untruths. I see alot of people posting questions on the boards asking questions about water filtration......But I only see you here on this thread in all your glory. If you look on around the other boards you will see alot of posts where David or myself have answered many questions and helped alot of people. Again where were you? This is a letter that I would have rather sent you in person but it appears that you would rather make a spectical of all this.

I wish you success Marianne

Smile Rocky, it's JUST like me isn't it?

Well, I do hope this all ends on an amicable note and everyone agrees to disagree or get along or whatever. I stand behind my original intent with this post and say that I now have my unit and I still say that it's a heck of a value! I got even more than I thought I was getting. As for all the companies involved, customer service is #1 next to performance. You get customers by being a good example of customer service. Thanks again.

Tell ya one thing...I will not be ordering from AquaFx! Not with that attitude! I also don't think Brian has said anything wrong.

I called Brian today about my Culligan RO system that needs filters. I did not tell him that I knew about this thread. He was very helpful and polite. I way over paid for my system that is only 35gal per day and it needs filters right now. I haven't decided whether I should replace the filters or the whole unit with a 100gpd unit. If I do decide on a new unit, it will be from Brian.

Joanne,

Can I ask how much your total system was?

What a ridiculous argument by "business owners" on a permanent, public forum.

I was reading a few threads on another board to help with my RO/DI purchase and someone suggested buying from Aquatic reef systems. So I cut-n-pasted those words into Google to check out their site and this Reefland thread was at the top.

Why would anyone that reads this thread, risk $200 & purchase anything from them? ...especially remotely via mail order and email
