tiny bubbles from skimmer

I just added a new protien skimmer to my tank. If is running well but I am getting tiny bubbles in the tank. The bubbles are making the tank look cloudy and the water surface looks dirty. Can I do anything to eliminate the bubbles.

You can regulate the amount of air going into the skimmer. You can also try to use foam at the outlet to catch the bubbles, or even see if the skimmer manufacturer makes a bubble trap for the unit. What brand is it?

You can also use filter floss at the output to reduce the bubbles. Is it a hang on or in sump skimmer? That would change things also.

scottC, myreef,

Its a queen brand skimmer. Connected to a 1500 litres per hour output. I have it running in the tank since there is no sump. I will try reducing the air pressure.

Thanks

Some skimmers tend to cut down on escaping bubbles coming out after they breakin after a week or so.
