myreef, i have questions???

Andy,

Have you started selling the circle cut-outs like you said you might a couple months back??? If so, what sizes??? I need a few for another skimmer i'm about to make, and the idea of cutting out a circle with a jigsaw and then routing a circle out of acrylic isn't quite as aesthetically appealing as your cut-outs.

Also, as you wrote on another board recently, how much would 8", 6", and 4" acrylic cost per foot through you??? Any ideas on shipping costs on 1'-2' of material??

Third question, and final: how do you enclose your Becketts??? I've experimented with some ways, but nothings a real performer. If this is one of your design specialties and don't want to reveal any secrets that's fine too. Also will need to buy a Beckett or two from you.

I'm hoping with all this hassle this time, i'll have a superb example of a Beckett "SuperFoamer" after a second try. If not, i'm going back to using the venturi skimmer that i've built and been tinkering with for the last 8 months.

Thanks,
DW302

I have started selling the flanges, complete with gasket and nylon screws and also drilled and tapped for the screws. I offer 3 different sizes.... 5 3/4" (6 screws), 7 3/4" (8 screws), and 9 3/4" (8 or 10 screws). I use them on 4 1/2", 6" and 8" respectively. How many and what size do you need? Do you want the tubing cut and joined or you just want the required footage?

As long as the beckett is sealed/enclosed you should be fine. I also use a high quality valve for the air supply. There are some secrets in the injector, but you should be able to get it to work to it's capacity. I think you will really like this type of skimmer, if built right. email me at andy@myreefcreations.com or myreef@aol.com and we can talk about $ for the flanges and whatever....flange prices for the smaller two are on my website at www.myreefcreations.com.
