the place that makes the 72 by 18 by 24 inch tank is called aquafuana. they are super close to my fish store here in san diego. lighting is my 2 400watt mh from my existing tank. just ordered a 2 140watt vho set for atinics and i was going to try to use my 2 55watt pc's as daylight bulbs. might need two more 55watt pc's though. as far as pump im thinking about that velocity t4 pump? not really sure. plumbed up to two sea swirls. everythings not set it stone so if you have any recomendations let me know.

oh and the overflow is a 1.5 inch hole also. should be able to get some water down that bad boy. it is standard glass with a diamond cut edge.

The velocity 4 is a very quite pump but not that strong.
I have the velocity4 and a GENX mak4 and the GENX is a much stronger pump for supposedly the same 1200 gph.
The gen x does make a little more noise (mostly from the fan) but is a stronger pump and fan cooled with the velocity4 has no cooling and gets fairly warm.
I have the velocity t4 on my 50 and the gen-x on my new 125 that I just set this last weekend and have better flow in the 125 with the gen-x than in the 50 with velocity t4.

You might have a hard time pulling a lot of water over it. I had to make the cuts on my overflows wider and deeper to get up to 2800 GPH on my tank. It looks like yours is 6x6. My two over flows are also 6x6 but there corner units so they only have two sides to draw water from, yours has 3 sides......Its hard to tell until you fire that bad boy up.

I later found that I couldn't deal with 2800 gph crashing down in the 40 gal sump, cleaning the maicron bags and sponges every other day (had to use em for all the bubbles) Now, I just run about 1000gph through the sump...No bubbles, no splashing and less noise........

I hope you post some shots of the canopy inside and out. I'm looking forward to seeing some shots when it's up and running.
