any thoughts on the CPR BAKPAK skimmers?

Does anyone have a CPR bakpak 2 skimmer? what are your opinions on it? do you have high nitrate levels? I don't have a sump or refugium, I'm just running the bakpak, and my nitrates are at 20ppm. Any thoughts?

i had a 55gallon reef with no fish and my nitrates were out of control. had real bad alge. using the cpr bakpak. i took it off and bought a bigger skimmer, all the alge died and to this day nitrate levels are undetecable.
