Hello Everyone,
I am some what new to the hobby, thus I am here to find bits of info to help me out with my new tank. I want to avoid as many headaches before I begin stocking, though I know there are always some surprises..i.e Murpheys Law. I am setting up an acrylic tank with metal halides. I currently have a canopy that is about six - seven inches tall. I am concerned that this is too shallow and would result in warping the top of the acrylic tank because of the close proximity and the heat from the metal halides. I do have fans and a chiller, though I am still concerned. Does any one have any opinions in regards to this??? Also if I should use a different canopy, does any one have any recommendations for on-line or actual retail outfits for constructing custom canopies?? Thanks Marcom50 ![]() |
