Prizm skimmer?

I have an issue with my Prizm and wondering if others are too. When I shut it off to empty the container, it starts over skimming big time. I have to turn down the flow, after it has been running for a while, I can turn it back up.

Same thing here, but not every time , go figure. Not really a big deal, just remember to turn it way down when you restart it after cleaning, like you've been doing. Just a little idiosyncrasy of the Prizm.

When you clean your skimmer you are making the surface on the skimmer skimer alot smother and thus the foam flows alot smother and thus skims alot better. Also depending on how well you clean it, it is like breaking in a new skimmer where it has to biuld up the slime on the walls.

The amount of cleaning I do probably explains why it only go crazy sometimes. It usually only gets a lick and a promise so it doesn't have to be broke in again.
