What to do with my skimmer
I have a 150g FO with 3 fish in it, a Picasso Trigger (4"), a Powder Brown Tang (5"), and an Emperor Angel (6"). I plan on maybe one more fish, but I'm quite happy with what's in there now.
Anyway, the tank has a RedSea Berlin skimmer on it. I think it's overkill, since there isn't much waste in the tank from my small little fishies. My 30g reef has a BakPak2 on it. I was thinking of taking the BakPak off (since the rio on it is driving my nuts) and putting the RedSea on the reef, since I tend to feed that tank more, and leaving the 150 skimmerless. Any advise on this idea? Thanks, Scott |

Scott,
IMO, that skimmer is no where near overkill. Those fish are going to do nothing but get BIGGER |

I would have to agree. The backpac isnt near big enough to do any good on a 150. The three fish put out more waste than any thing in your 30 gal.

I don't want to put the BakPak on the 150, just run it skimmerless.

You say the tank is a fish-only. Is there any live rock in there and if so how much? Personally I don't think I would take the Berlin off.
