Prefilter on RO/DI??
I'm about to hook up my RO unit and I have an old whole house sediment filter that I have never used and was wondering if it would be a smart thing to do to run my water line thru it before the RO unit. My well is fairly new and sometimes I get some sediment
Thanks, Bill |

Should be fine, the RO should have it's own sediment cartridge so if you place another one in front of it, the RO one will last longer, not the carbon cartridge, just the sediment filter.

Yeah, I was looking at it today and the sediment filter on the RO is the same one in my House filter. I'm thinking of replacing the house filter with one that will only catch the bigger particles. This won't mess up the water pressure going into the unit- I think.
Thanks, Bill |
