plumbing

Ok, now I 'm ready to start designing my plumbing. I need pointers!

Should I put unions inside and on the bottom of my overflows?

Are ball valves needed on the intake and return hoses just under the overflows?

I would step back and take a long look at what your going to do....

Where will you need to shut off the water (ball valve)

Where will you need to remove pipe, pumps, ect (ball valves and union)

On hard pipe running to the pump and away from the pump you might want to think about using a 6" section of flex\soft pipe to adsorb any vibration...This can also act as a union.
